The City of Kirkland's Office of Emergency Management works in partnership with the community to provide useful & universally accessible means of readiness, response & recovery for all hazards.

Responsibilities & Major Accomplishments (reporting to the emergency manager):

- Developed and implemented social media strategies for Kirkland's OEM

- Created an online presence that increased the OEM's visibility and connectedness to leverage social media affordances in times of emergencies

- Created and curated online content for various platforms

- Designed and performed training for volunteers and City Hall staff on social media use and etiquette

- Organized OEM's social media channels official launch campaign

- Helped Emergency Manager & Emergency Coordinator updating website content

- Performed PR duties (i.e. press releases, various awareness campaigns)

- Acted as training consultant for Kirkland's Police Department about social media best practices and use for PDs.
